K-1実行委員会は12月7日、都内で会見を開き、K-1、Krush、KHAOSを擁する「K-1 JAPAN GROUP」が来年1月上旬に2017年の年間表彰式として「K-1 AWARDS(アウォーズ) 2017」を開催することを発表した。
これは、K-1 JAPAN GROUPが2017年に開催したプロ大会「K-1 WORLD GP」、「Krush」、「KHAOS」と、「K-1アマチュア」大会のすべての出場選手、全試合を対象に各賞を制定し、受賞選手の表彰式を行うもの。
各賞は以下の通りとなる。
